A former
gas station (curren?ly a tune-up shop) is located north of the site Oil the north side of Rivara
Road.
4,2 Ground-Water uaiit
Ground-water samples were collected from all four monitoring wells on June 6, 1991.
Subsequently,a one-liter amber jar containing one of the samples was dropped in the laboratory.
A replacement was collected on June 8, 1991. During sampling activities.hydrocarbon odors and
an oily sheen were noted in the sample collected from MW-2-
The results of the chemical analyses indicate concentrations of purgeable and base, neutral and
acid compounds in samples collected from all four wells. The highest concentrations of
compounds and the highest number of detected compounds were indicated by analysis of the
ground-water sample from MW-2. The results indicate that ground water has been affected by
gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons.
The results of analyses indicated concentra.ions of greater than 16 mlll of coliforms and 5.1 HIM
of fecal coliform in the sample collected from MW-3. The coliform concentration exceeds MCLS
as identified in Title 22, CCR, Section 64423. The results indicate that a waste stream leaking
from a nearby sewer line has affected ground water beneath the site.
SSn GNVIRONMGNTAL CONSULTANTS, INC.
