Eddie Lucero stated that CAL000367958 <br /> was no longer in use and provided the current facility's hazardous waste ID number CAL000431120 during <br /> inspection and this number is inactive. A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store,dispose of,transport or <br /> offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC web site <br /> http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/IDManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to reactivate the ID number. Immediately <br /> reactivate your CAL000431120 ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 102 CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> When asked what happens to the absorbent used on oil spills and clean up during the inspection, co owner Kim <br /> Gills stated that they place the absorbent in the trash can. No determination was made. Any person who generates <br /> a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of the waste in the trash can, <br /> make a hazardous waste determination for the absorbent containing used oil, and manage it according the Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br /> managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated that employees who handle hazardous waste were properly <br /> trained. When asked how a spill clean up was handled, co owner Kim Gills stated that absorbent was placed in the <br /> trash can after cleaning. Co owner Eddie Lucero could not demonstrate how to label a hazardous waste container. <br /> The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures. Provide proof of training to the EHD for employees whose <br /> responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 119 HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data electronically. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1,2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System(CERS)at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
