in KLEINFELDER <br /> V <br /> Task 3 -Laboratory Analysis <br /> Each of the soil samples collected for quantitative analysis will be submitted under chain-of- <br /> custody control to Alpha Analytical Laboratories (Alpha) of Sparks Nevada. Alpha is a <br /> California State-certified laboratory able to perform the required analyses. <br /> Approximately fifty-four (54) discrete confirmation soil samples collected from within the <br /> excavation will be submitted for the following analyses: <br /> • Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons [C4-C10] including Benzene, Toluene, <br /> Ethylbenzene,Xylenes [BTEX] by EPA Method 8260 <br /> • Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons [CIO-C40]by EPA Method 8O15M <br /> The samples will be analyzed on a standard two-week tum-around-time (TAT) requiring <br /> approximately 10 working days. Please note expedited TAT can be obtained at additional costs. <br /> Task 4—Reporting <br /> Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the analytical results a report of findings will <br /> be prepared for client review. The report will include: <br /> • A description of the field activities,observations, and protocols; <br /> • Tabulated results of soil samples with copies of certified results; <br /> • A graphical representation of soil sampling locations; <br /> • Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory <br /> work; and <br /> • Kleinfelder's conclusions and recommendations based on the data acquired. <br /> All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be <br /> released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law <br /> requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an <br /> immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
