M KLEINFELDER PROJECT SCHEDULE The proposed scope of work would be performed in accordance with the following approximate schedule. Approximate - Task Timeline Week 0-1 Formal workplan authorization provided by the county health department Week 1-2 Permittin ' Week 2-4 Field Work Week 4-6 Chemical Analysis Week 6-9 Report Preparation Week 9 Report submitted to the Client ' Kleinfelder has no control over the time required by a regulatory agency to review and approve a work plan or over the laboratory tum around time. 1 This excavation, transportation and disposal will be done by a subcontractor. Kleinfelder does not have control over scheduling or the progress of their field activities. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS This workplan is based on the following assumptions and responsibilities: ➢ This workplan will be adequate to obtain authorization from SJC/EHD. If an addendum or an additional work plan is necessary, additional charges for work plan preparation will be incurred. ➢ Adequate workspace and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to collect samples at the proposed locations. If the volume of contamination exceeds the estimated amount additional confirmation sampling and analyses may be required for either confirmation sampling and or for additional profiling for disposal purposes. ➢ This workplan is based on the presumption that Pegasus MH Ventures I, along with oversight from Chevron and PG&E will clearly mark private subsurface structures existing onsite in the footprint area to determine the location of existing structures, underground utilities and services. Pegasus MH Ventures I should be aware that penetrating the site's surface is inherently risky. It is impossible to determine with certainty the precise location of all structures which may be buried in the ground. Kleinfelder's fee is not adequate to compensate for both the performance of the services and the assumption of risk of damage to such structures. Disruption of utilities or damage to underground structures will be the responsibility of Pegasus MH Ventures I or those responsible for identifying the pipeline locations (Chevron or PG&E). Services rendered by Kleinfelder to repair them will be billed at cost. Underground Service Alert(USA) at 1-800- 642-2444 provides a partial location service free of charge for major utility lines. It is important that Pegasus MH Ventures I understand that subsurface utilities buried under private property will not be marked by the public utility companies contacted by USA. USA will be contracted at least 48 hours prior to performing field work. ➢ Backfill, compaction and compaction testing are not part of the proposed services. ➢ Based on preliminary information provided by RAH Environmental, Kleinfelder assumes the waste will be profiled as a non RCRA-hazardous waste and acceptable at Forward Landfill in 44943.T04/ST04RI 121 r Page 7 of 9 Copyright 2004,Kleinfelder,Inc.
