On September 23,
1996, the depth to water was measured in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3. Groundwater
elevations are shown in Table 1. The average groundwater elevation has decreased approximately
1.59 feet since March 8, 1996. The groundwater gradient is to the north with a magnitude of
0.004 ft/ft or 21 feet per mile. The groundwater gradient for September 23, 1996 is shown on
Figure 2.
Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 after purging and
stabilization of physical parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, and temperature). Well purge logs
and field notes are contained in Attachment 1. Collected groundwater samples were placed on ice and
transported under chain-of-custody protocol to state certified Sequoia Analytical. Samples were
analyzed for priority metals. Results indicated that concentrations of metals either remained the same
order of magnitude, decreased, or were not detected since last sampled in June 1995. Analytical
results are summarized in Table 2 and laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documentation are
contained in Attachment 2.
During this monitoring event, the wells were found to be in good condition with no visible
defects. The next scheduled activities are in first quarter 1997 and include groundwater
monitoring and reporting.
w:V 51364epottsbarpLdoc
1260 Graphics Drive - Modesto,CA 95351-1502 • (209)579-2221 • Fax(209)579-2225
Engineering • Consulting • Remediation • Construction
