Center St. <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the <br /> second quarter groundwater monitoring data dated July 14, 1992 as submitted by Engineering-Science, <br /> Inc. and has the following comments. <br /> Reports submitted to PHS/EHD are to follow guidelines as described in the "Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for Initial Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tanks" and "Appendix A" <br /> reporting format. These reports shall be done under the direction of and stamped and signed by a <br /> registered or certified professional (i.e; Registered Geologist, Registered Hydrogeologist or Engineer). <br /> As explained in correspondence from PHS/EHD dated March 11, 1992, standards for analytical data shall <br /> follow LUFT manual guidelines. Detection limits for BTEX and TPHD shall be those listed in the LUFT <br /> manual Appendix A. Benzene, Toluene and Ethylbenzene shall have detection limits of 0.3 ug/l for <br /> water analysis. Total Xylenes shall utilize 0.6 ug/l. EPA 602 is an accepted method for these analytes. <br /> Water analysis for TPHD shall utilize DHS GC-FID (3510) solution preparation method for "Analytical <br /> Test Method 602"; 500 ug/l shall be the highest detection limit allowable. <br /> The analysis submitted for the second quarter groundwater monitoring event is unacceptable. <br /> Resampling will be required and shall be conducted in time enough to have the report to PHS/EHD by <br /> October 15, 1992. <br /> Records indicate that this site is currently eligible to receive reimbursement funds under the "UST <br /> Cleanup Fund".
