4 , <br /> ES ENGINEERING-SCIENCE <br /> SECTION 1 <br /> EWRODUC 1 ION k <br /> � I <br /> 1 <br /> 1.1 PURPOSE AND REQUIREMEM <br /> I The purpose of this safety plan is to establish personnel protection standards and <br /> mandatory safety practices and procedures. This plan assigns responsibilities, <br /> establishes standard operating procedures, and provides for contingencies that may arise <br /> ' while operations are being conducted at Underground Storage Tanks (UST) sites. <br /> i <br /> 1 The provisions of the plan are mandatory for all on-site personnel. All ES <br /> personnel shall abide by this plan. Any supplemental plans used by subcontractors <br /> j shall conform to this plan as a minimum. All personnel who engage in project <br /> activities must be familiar with this plan and comply with its requirements. <br /> 1.2 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> t <br /> 1.2.1 Site Description <br /> The Greyhound Stockton Terminal is located at 121 S. Center Street in Stockton, <br /> California. The facility formerly had underground storage tanks containing diesel fuel <br /> and fuel service lines to bus ports that have since been removed. <br /> 1.3 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Field tasks to be performed at the Greyhound Terminal in Stockton California <br /> include the installation of 8 soil borings around the former UST system and diesel fuel <br /> supply lines. <br /> 1.4 PROJECT TEAM ORGANIZATION <br /> Table 1.1 describes the responsibilities of all on-site <br /> 1 respo personnel associated with this <br /> j project.
