Mr. .Snyder
April 23, 1990
Page 3
Excavated soils will be stockpiled on site pending either on-site
treatment or legal, off-site disposal. The estimated volume of
excavated soils is projected at 14 cubic yards from the fuel-
storage tank pit and the piping trench and 10 cubic yards from
the former waste-oil tank pit.
Once the samples have been collected from each of the
W
P
excavations, the excavation pits will be!zackfilled, compacted
and resurfaced so the station can resume operations. Groundwater
Technology will then prepare an additional work plan based on the
i
data gathered. The work plan will address the status of the non
excavated soils and groundwater beneath this site with regards to
potential or discovered impacts by gasoline hydrocarbons.
Chevronwouldlike to reopen..this stationas soon as possible. As
such, anything that can be done to expedite the review process
would be appreciated. If you have any questions or require any
additional information, please contact our office in Concord,
California.
Sincerely, +
GROUNDWATER -'TECHNOLOGY, INC.
Glen L.
