Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Re: Revised Work Plan for Site Assessment pQ O <br /> Chevron Service Station 9-0557 Go <br /> 139 South Center Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Site Code: 1039 <br /> Dear Mr. Rowe: <br /> This letter,prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of <br /> Chevron Products Company (Chevron), presents a revised scope of work discussed in <br /> the January 29, 1998 meeting between Ron Rowe, Margaret Lagorio, and Mary Meays <br /> with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental.Health Division <br /> (PHS/EHD), Brett Hunter of Chevron, and.Greg Barclay and Roger Hoffmore of <br /> SECOR. This letter also serves to replace the Work Plan portion of the Soil and <br /> Groundwater Investigation Report and Work Plan, prepared by Pacific Environmental <br /> Group, Inc. (PACIFIC), dated November 24, 1997. The purpose of this work is to <br /> further characterize the hydrogeology in the site area and evaluate the lateral and <br /> vertical extent of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater onsite and offsite. The data <br /> gathered during this phase of work will be utilized in locating future groundwater <br /> monitoring wells offsite and for determining the depth of those wells. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> The site is an operating Chevron Service Station located on the northwest corner of <br /> Washington Street and South Center Street in Stockton, California, and is within an area <br /> of primarily commercial use. Topography in the area of the site is relatively flat and the <br /> site is approximately 12 feet above mean sea level.
