HARGIS+ASSOCIATES, INC.
Consultants in Hydrogeology
A•,e-oc De Lo Piavc Suite 300
September 16, 1987
Mr. David Bates
MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY
5800 Foxridge Drive
Mission, KS 66202
RE: Off-Site Well Sampling, September 1987
Dear Mr. Bates:
In accordance with our telephone conversation of August 28, 1987,
Hargis + Associates, Inc. (H+A) conducted an off-site well investigation for
the Marley Cooling Tower Company Facility, Stockton, California, during
September 1987. Seven off-site wells were identified for sampling based on
information contained in the August 18, 1987 letter to you from Tom Hickey
of Black & Veatch. Two of the seven wells were located and observed to be
inoperable at the present time. Consequently, water samples were not
obtained from these wells. The existence of the five remaining wells was
not confirmed by field reconnaissance.
In addition to site investigations conducted by H+A field personnel ,
information regarding the status of the wells was obtained through brief
interviews with residents at each address. Attached is a summary of the
field investigation results, and a map and photographs of the historical
well locations.
Sincerely,
GIS + A SOC TES, INC.
WL
Peter T.
