The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) has also acknowledged that such an act would be a
violation of the federally approved interim closure/closure plan.
The Department therefore advises MCTC to proceed with the interim
closure plan as presented in Exhibit D of the RAO.
Should MCTC fail to comply with the requirements of Exhibit D,
enforcement and corrective action may be pursued by both EPA and .
the Department.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact
Jim Austreng at (916) 920-7644.
Snc rely,
ames T.
