In order to provide legally admissible analytical data from the <br /> collected samples, proper chain of custody (COC) procedures will <br /> be followed. COC documentation will include sample tags or <br /> labels, sample seals and sample records. <br /> Sample tags or labels will be securely attached to each sample <br /> container and will include the following information legibly <br /> completed in waterproof ink: <br /> o Sample number (unique to each sample) <br /> o Sample location and station number <br /> o Date of sampling <br /> o Time of sampling <br /> o Type of sample (composite or grab) <br /> o Nature of sample (soil or sediment) <br /> o Preservation method (if necessary) <br /> o Sampler' s signature <br /> o Analyses required <br />' The sample jar will be sealed with a sample seal or with evidence <br /> tape to ensure that the samples have not been disturbed or <br /> tampered with prior to analysis. <br /> Samples will be accompanied by a COC sample record, which will <br /> include all the information present on the sample tag/label . <br /> GMI <br /> 8 <br />
