1 T
t t
Historical water level information is presented in Phase I Groundwater
Assessment Report (Hargis, 1985) : Key elements are highlighted below:
"Water level data obtained from the San Joaquin County Flood Control and
Water Conservation District (SJCFCWCD) indicate that the water table in the
vicinity of the MCTC facility experienced a steady decline from about 1951 to
1979. . . Comparison of June-July 1984 with July 29, 1985, water level
elevations indicates that there has been a water level decline of about
four feet in the vicinity of the MCTC facility."
Water level data collected in recent years suggest that water levels have
declined further.
Increased pumping in the region is expected to lower groundwater levels
and to maintain lower levels for the foreseeable future.
