All samples were analyzed for hexavalent
chromium, total chromium, copper, and arsenic. Field tests were carried
out on all samples for pH, conductivity, and temperature. With one minor
exception, concentrations of chromium, copper, and arsenic were all below
detection limits. The only exception was a copper concentration for sample
No. 4 of 0.04 mg/l, which is negligible in comparison to the drinking water
standard of 1 mg/l. The reported detection limits are:
Parameter Detection Limit (mg/1)
Hexavalent Chromium 0.02
Total Chromium 0.05
Copper 0.02
Arsenic 0.01
Most of the wells identified during the earlier portion of the off-site
sampling program were found to be plugged, capped, nonexistent, or other-
wise nonoperational. Samples were collected from five operational wells
at the following locations :
Sample Number Address
1 4749 East Fremont
2 4801 East Fremont
3 830 Ellen
4 3901 East Minor
5 249 South Dawes
