(BBL) on your behalf. BBL submitted this Work Plan as a replacement for <br /> Work Plan for Monitoring Well Installation dated September 24, 2004, submitted by SECOR <br /> International Incorporated(SECOR) and approved by EHD by letter dated July 11, 2005. <br /> This work plan eliminates the advancement of the previously approved cone penetrometer testing <br /> (CPT) boring to approximately 130 feet below ground surface (bgs) to assess soil lithology, <br /> stratigraphy, and potential petroleum hydrocarbon contamination. Instead, BBL recommends <br /> installing the previously approved deep well to approximately 115 feet bgs at the location of this <br /> CPT boring using sonic drilling in place of hollow stem augers while continuously collecting soil <br /> samples for logging purposes. BBL proposes a five-foot screen interval for this monitoring well. <br /> EHD approves the Work Plan as submitted. EHD directs that groundwater samples be analyzed <br /> for 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) in addition to the proposed <br /> analyses for total extractable petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TEPH-d); TEPH as motor oil <br /> (TEPH-mo); total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g); benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, <br /> and total xylenes(BTEX); tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), and methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE). <br /> Please submit a boring permit application and permit fee of$89 to EHD by December 29, 2006. <br /> Notify EHD at least 72 hours prior to commencing the fieldwork.
