Please <br /> reference Section 2A-4 of the Subsurface Soil Flushing System <br /> Specifications previously provided for a description of the hollow-stem <br /> auger drilling method that will be used to complete IW-1A and IW-2A. <br /> The interval from land surface to a depth of 20 feet will be logged by <br /> cuttings and compared with adjacent borings. A 5 foot continuous tube <br /> sampler will be used to continuously log the interval from 20 to 40 feet <br /> below the surface. A total of approximately 12 moisture content samples <br /> will be collected from the 20 to 40 foot interval during the <br /> installation of IW-1A and IW-2A. <br /> I have discussed the Phase I Modifications with Mr. Jim Austreng of the <br /> California Department of Health Services. Per your request, I have <br /> asked that he contact you regarding the Phase I Modifications. <br /> If you have any questions or identify additional needs related to the <br /> permit application, please call me at (913) 338-6544.
