The documents are dated April 2006 and May 2006, respectively. The Regional
Water Board received the documents on April 27, 2006 and May 15, 2006, respectively. Your
performance monitoring consultant, Dudek & Associates of Encinitas, prepared the Semi-
Annual Groundwater Monitoring and Performance Monitoring Report. Your environmental
consultant, MWH Americas, Inc., of Sacramento, prepared the First Quarter 2006
Groundwater Monitoring Report, In-Situ Chromium Reduction Pilot Study plan on your behalf.
As stated in the First Quarter 2006 Groundwater Monitoring Report, In-Situ Chromium
Reduction Pilot Study, the implementation of the Pilot Study is complete. MWH proposes to
discontinue the groundwater monitoring and sampling program associated with the Irl-Situ
Chromium Reduction Pilot Study. There is currently no plan to monitor and sample
groundwater associated with the Pilot Study for the 2nd Quarter 2006. MWH recommends
continued monitoring of the Pilot Study area wells on a quarterly basis as part of the Site-wide
routine groundwater monitoring and sampling program conducted by Dudek & Associates.
Regional Water Board staff concurs with the termination of the groundwater monitoring
associated with the In-Situ Chromium Reduction Pilot Study. Staff also concurs with MWH's
recommendation to continue monitoring of the Pilot Study area wells on a quarterly basis as
part of the Site-wide routine groundwater monitoring and sampling program conducted by
Dudek & Associates.
Regional Water Board staff recommends that a comprehensive monitoring and reporting
program (MRP) be developed and submitted for regulatory review while the draft Remedial
Action Plan (RAP) Amendment is being revised. Since the pilot test is complete, SPX and
California Environmental Protection Agency
Cd Recycled Paper
