Between boreholes, <br /> - all downhole equipment will be cleaned using a pressure washer. <br /> Rinsate from this decontamination will be placed in 55-gallon <br /> steel drums and stockpiled on site. The wastes generated during <br /> this assessment will be disposed of in an appropriate, legal <br /> manner after laboratory analyses have determined if the wastes <br /> must be treated as a hazardous material. <br /> Selected soil samples will be laboratory analyzed for the <br /> T presence of benLene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (P'i:�X) <br /> and total petroleum hydrocarbons TPH-as-gasoline using modified <br /> - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ( ;PA) Methods 5030/8020/ <br /> 8ol5. At least one soil sample from each borehole will be <br /> analyzed. If field observations and/or PID readings indicate <br /> possible adsorbed hydrocarbons in the soils encountered, <br /> additional samples may be analyzed. <br /> Soil samples from above and below the water table may be <br /> collected for physical testing. Such testing could include <br /> ` grain-size analysis, permeability, and/or porosity.
