Change in work plan proposal from installing multi-completion monitoring wells to installing three,56-foot deep, <br /> single cased monitoring wells in cluster configurations next to existing wells b1'%V-4,M%V-5 and NIW-7. The wells <br /> will be built with five feet of screened casing at total depth. <br /> 2. The three borings for the monitoring wells will be continuously cored as they are drilled. <br /> 3. A minimum of three soil samples from each boring will be submitted for laboratory analysis. <br /> 4. See 12/05/00 SJC/EHD correspondence for approved analysis Constituents and analytical methods,for both the <br /> soil and groundwater analyses. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. The multi-completion wells were approved to have three screen. tervals. Three additional monitoring wells must <br /> be installed,one in each cluster,to total depth of 45-feet below surface grade and with 5-foot screen intervals. This <br /> depth was proposed, and approved,for monitoring in the origino I work plan approval letter dated December 2000. <br /> 2. Lateral definition of the shallow groundwater plume has not been made at this site. The responsible parties,Atlantic <br /> Richfield Company and the City of Stockton have not performed further investigation of this site in a timely manner. <br /> The directive to complete the lateral definition of the groundwater contamination at this site will not be rescinded. <br /> If a work plan to complete this work is not submitted by July 1.,21002 the responsible parties will be considered out of <br /> compliance with regulatory directives. <br /> 3. Installation of the new monitoring wells is scheduled for the week of May 6,2002_ Please proceed with submittal of <br /> the San Joaquin County well permit applications,required$89.00 permit fees and copies of the City of Stockton <br /> encroachment permits for the wells located offsite.
