C
Sacramento, California 95831
Dear Mr. Little:
We are responding to your request to reconstruct an 835
lineal foot concrete seawall bordering the south side of Weber
Point in Stockton, at Township 1 North, Range 16 East, in San
Joaquin County, California. The Section 10 portion of the
project is authorized under a letter of permission as shown on
the enclosed drawings, and subject to the enclosed conditions.
i
i
Under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, the Chief of
Engineers has issued Nationwide Permit Number 13 for bank
stabilization activities, and Nationwide Permit Number 25 for
I structural discharges. Your project may be authorized under
these nationwide permits provided you meet the terms and
conditions of the enclosed information sheets, including State
Water Quality Certification. In addition, upon project
' completion you must sign and return the enclosed compliance
certification form acknowledging adherence to the conditions of
the permit.
' General Condition 9 of the sheet states individual state
water quality certification must be obtained or waived.
Therefore, the proposed project is denied without prejudice and
' cannot be authorized until either water quality certification or
a waiver is obtained. Water quality certification or waiver must
be obtained from the Regional Water Quality Control Board, 3443
' Routier Drive, Sacramento, California 95827.
This verification will be valid for a period of two years
from the date of this letter. Work may then proceed subject to
the terms and conditions of certification. You should contact
this office if work will extend beyond this date. This
nationwide permit is scheduled to be modified, reissued, or
' revoked prior to February 11, 2002. It is incumbent upon you to
remain informed of changes to the nationwide permits.
II
