The Workplan was discussed with
you in the July 27 , 1993 conference call in which the Department
identified several areas of the Workplan which required
modification. Your July 28, 1993 letter amendment has adequately
summarized and addressed the required modifications.
It is our understanding that the schedule agreed to requires
submission of the Feasibility Study (FS) report within ten weeks
instead of twelve weeks after submitting the Phase III Technical
Memorandum. This ten week period would allow PG&E and the
Department to meet and discuss the memorandum within the first
two week period and to resolve all issues within the following
two week period. The remaining six weeks would allow for
completing and submitting the Draft FS. Additionally, the last
item on the schedule concerning public comments should indicate
the Department and PG&E will address public comments and PG&E
will submit the Final Remedial Action Plan within the four week
period after the comment period ends. The Department hereby
approves the modified Workplan for implementation contingent upon
the above modifications.
It is understood the implementation of the fieldwork will
begin within two weeks from PG&E receiving account authority from
the Public Utilities Commission. PG&E estimates receiving
account authority within 60 days from the Department' s approval
of the Workplan. Please notify the Department, in advance, of
any changes to the implementation date.
PIrnISH on Ne[VCIBJ Pape
