You have requested an extension
period which corresponds to 45 days after the Department's
comments on the Remedial Investigation/Risk Assessment (RI/RA)
report are adequately addressed. The Department received the
RI/RA report in November 1992 and has completed its review and
has forwarded comments on the RI portion, but has not yet
completed its review of the RA portion of the report. The
Department concurs with PG&E that the conclusions of the RI/RA
report will provide the framework for completing the FS and thus
an extension of time to submit the FS is properly justified. The
extension period will be determined by the Department after
issuing the RA comments and after receiving PG&E's proposal for
completing the RI/RA work and preparing the FS. Such a proposal
should be submitted by PG&E within 15 days from receipt of the
Department's RA comments.
If you have any questions, please contact Fernando Amador at
(916) 255-3737.
Sincerely,
di (.-y
James L.
