The attachment <br /> shows the project schedule as it was presented in PG&E's August 27, 1993 letter to you <br /> (columns 1-3), and the actual or estimated dates for project activities based upon current <br /> information (column 4). <br /> In accordance with Section 3.21 of Consent Order -Docket No. HSA 90/91-008, PG&E <br /> requests a time extension for completing project activities (starting with activity "Phase <br /> IIIb -Meeting with DTSC" and subsequent activities). We therefore request that these <br /> activities be extended to the dates shown in the last column (column four) and that the <br /> attached schedule be approved. As we have discussed, our reasons for requesting this <br /> extension are: <br /> 1) The Phase IIIb meeting with DTSC occurred eleven days behind schedule. The actual <br /> meeting day was the first day that all interested parties could meet. <br /> 2) The start of Phase IIIc field investigation began six months behind schedule due to the <br /> difficulty in obtaining access to off-site drilling locations. This delay was documented <br /> in letters from PG&E to DTSC dated April 15, 1994 and April 28, 1994. <br /> 3) The completion of the Phase IIIc field investigation is approximately three weeks <br /> behind schedule for the following two reasons. First, the drilling rig's transmission <br /> broke down resulting in a one week delay while repairs were made. Second, the Phase <br />
