Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Subject: Well Permits for 535 S. Center St., Stockton, CA
Dear Linda:
Enclosed is a well permit application, a copy of our workplan, and a figure depicting all
existing and proposed well sites on or near the PG&E Former Manufactured Gas Plant Site
located at 535 Center Street in Stockton, California. Also attached is a copy of the sewer
plans for the area.
Six to seven new wells (MW-14, MW-15, MW-16, MW-17, MW-18, possibly MW-19,
and MW-20) are scheduled to be installed between June 6 and July 1, 1994. The proposed
well locations are shown on the attached figure in parentheses. These well locations have
been changed from those in the workplan due to difficulties gaining site access. Wells
MW-15 and MW-17 are scheduled to be installed on PG&E property, but their final
locations may be offsite if Hydropunch groundwater samples collected from the onsite
locations contain MGP residues. Similarly, MW-19 will be installed if the Hydropunch
groundwater samples collected from Zone A during installation of MW-14 contain MGP
residues. Wells MW-14, MW-16, and possibly wells MW-15, MW-17, and MW-19 will
be installed on the City of Stockton right-of-way on Commerce and Church Streets (see
attached figure).
The proposed monitoring wells will be installed to the following depths:
• MW-14, MW-15 and MW-16: 225 feet below ground surface, with the
screened interval from 210 to 220 feet below ground surface and the grout
seal at 190 feet below ground surface.
CH2M HILL 111 1 Broadway,P.O.
