Date: 11/29/2018 <br />Manufacturer training: <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />Witnessed secondary piping testing of the new diesel product pipe from the newly installed UDCs to the diesel STP sump and <br />the existing 87 and 91 piping near the newly installed UDCs (3/4, 7/8) - 5 psi for 60 minutes. Witnessed soap testing of all <br />joints and fittings. All passed. <br />Verified 1/8 inch slope of the diesel piping from the UDCs to the diesel sump. The slope was not angled to the sump in all <br />areas and the installer adjusted the slope in several places. Passed. <br />Two piping crossovers were observed over the diesel piping with less than 2.5 inches. <br />-The vapor recovery line at UDC 7/8 was observed crossing over the diesel product pipe and touching the product pipe. A <br />small discoloration was observed where the two pipes met, seen when the vapor pipe was lifted slightly by the installer. <br />-Three PVC pipes were observed running over the top of the diesel product line approximately halfway between UDC 7/8 and <br />UDC 3/4. <br />According the the NOV piping installation instructions, "The 2.5" (64mm) critical dimension must be inspected in the field." <br />Piping crossovers must be verified as installed in accordance with the manufacturer's written instructions by the EHD prior to <br />backfill. <br />*The facility is not approved to operate. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
