' 20 March 2015
AGE Project No. 00-0769
• Bromide was detected at concentrations ranging between 2.08 mg/1 (MW-3A)
and 8.60 mg/I (MW-8A).
• Bromate was detected at concentrations ranging between 1.28 mg/1 (MW-3A)
and 6.16 mg/I (MW-1); Bromate concentrations were significantly above the State
of California Primary MCL of 0.01 mg/I for drinking water. Additionally, the
laboratory detection limit for bromate (1.0 mg/1) was above the Primary MCL of
0.01 mg/I (Table 5). However, bromate concentrations were significantly above
the State of California Primary MCL in baseline samples collected in June 2013,
' prior to ozone injection.
• Nitrite as N and Nitrogen were detected at concentrations ranging between 1.20
mg/I in MW-3A and 9.48 mg/I in MW-2A (Nitrite as N) and between 1.23 mg/I in
' MW-3A and 12.4 mg/I in MW-2A (Nitrogen as N).
• Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved
' solids (TDS), chlorine, sulfate, and total alkalinity were all detected at low to
normal background concentrations (Table 5).
• Ammonia, dissolved sulfide, orto-phosphate, and fluoride were not detected
above laboratory reporting limits in the groundwater samples analyzed in June
2014 (Table 5).
' Analytical results of groundwater samples collected in June 2014 are summarized in
Tables 2, 4, and 5. The laboratory reports (CTEL Lab Project. No. CT214-1406022),
quality assurance/quality control reports, and chain-of-custody forms are included in
Appendix E. Electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water data were
uploaded to the State GeoTracker database system. Graphs illustrating depth to
' groundwater, groundwater elevation and TPH-g concentrations versus time (trend
graphs) for each hydrogeologic unit are presented in Appendix F.
JUL Y 2014.-
On
014:On 01 July 2014, a progress-pilot test monthly monitoring event was performed utilizing
' wells MW-1, MW-2A, MW-3A, MW-5A, MW-6B, MW-7B, MW-8A, MW-9A, and MW-10
as required by the MRP; depth to groundwater was measured; pH, temperature, DO
and ORP were measured down-hole in non-CMT wells and from purge water in CMT
wells.
• Depths to groundwater ranged between 19.26 feet (MW-8A) btoc and 21.87 feet
(MW-1) btoc (Table 1). Groundwater elevations at the site ranged between 8.10
feet (MW-10) below NAVD88 and 11.21 feet (MW-1) below NAVD88.
• pH was measured between 6.51 and 7.84; temperature was measured between
' 22.0 and 26.6 degrees Celsius; DO was measured between 2.53 and 7.84 mg/I;
and ORP was measured between -8.0 and 187.4 mV. Results of YSI Multi-
Parameter Meter data is presented in Table 3.
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc.
