Please notice the comment
section . I think a deep investigation is needed in MW-3A area since this deep
well set at 100'-105' bgs is still very hot. Prior to setting deep wells, CPTs
should delineate the deep extent first. I 'm very concerned with the vertical
extent in former UST=3 area. This may set the target depth for all laterally deep
investigations. Once the vertical and lateral extent of the deep problem is
defined, go ahead and place as many MWs as needed to monitor the intervals
with the high levels of contam . Just two screened zones may NOT be
adequate. Go ahead and do the 4 CPTs you proposed, add one more at MW=
3A area. Once the lab data verifies the level of impact at various depths , you
may install the MWs . You may need to add another CPT in the offsite area at
extreme Northeast where your two MWs are proposed. See? Call me and we
can work out the details. I 'm willing to revise this approval letter to meet your
needs and cost changes for multi -mobilization .
STATEMENT OF CONFIDENTIALITY The information in this facsimile is legally privileged and confidential information
intended only for the use of the addressee listed on this cover sheet.
