P. O. Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Work Plan - Phase 1 Site Investigation, 1201 S. Center Street
Stockton, CA
Owner: Roger Huckins
3501 Oakgrove Circle
Stockton, CA 95209
Dear Mr. Infuma,
Please find below the Work Plan for the first phase for the subsurface investigation for the above
property owned by Mr. Huckins.
THE WORK PLAN
History
Three underground tanks were removed from the above stated site by Jim Thorpe Oil on
10/26/94. At that time, ten soil samples were taken from the excavation spoil, the underground
tank excavation and the product piping area, and analyzed by GeoAnalytical Labs. The samples
from all three tanks show evidence of gasoline contamination. The sample from the west end of
tank number three (See attached analysis) was the most comaminated. After samples were taken,
- the excavations were backfilled to finish grade.
- - - Proposed Soil Sampling
A push borewill be placed in the general area of Tank #1 and Tank #2 with soil samples taken at
- depths of 15, 25, and 35 feet. A soil auger boring will be placed in the general area of Tank #3 .
Soil samples will be taken a depths of 15, 25, and 35 feet. If obvious conditions exist as to the
contamination of the soil at the 35 foot depth, a standard 2" PVC monitoring well will be
established for water sampling. Conditions of the bore hole samples will be determined by the
representative of the DHS/EHD and Foothill Engineering at the time of soil sampling. Spoil from
the soil boring will be placed in standard sealed drums for disposal.
Soil samples will be transported under ice in standard sample tubes designed for the type of soil
bore used. Each sample tube will be capped with aluminum foil and sealed with duct tape.
Sample Analysis
Samples will be transported under ice to an approved state certified laboratory for analysis.
1
