'I
3 SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Groundwater monitoring has been conducted at this facility since 1999 to evaluate
groundwater quality A summary of the current site conditions and a
recommendation for subsequent work are as follows
During this event, the depths to groundwater among the wells average at about
r 27 73' (-17 97 MSL) The groundwater flow was generally easterly at a
gradient of about 4 92 x 10 feet per linear foot
' . The benzene concentration in well MW-2 was non-detect during this event
The remaining toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and TPH-G concentrations in
well MW-2 decreased significantly
• The current BTEX concentrations were evaluated against the California
Drinking Water MCLs Based on the current groundwater monitoring data,
none of the MCLs have been exceeded in any of the wells
• MTBE was the only oxygenate detected and only in well MW-2 The
detectable concentration was dust above the reporting limit
Based on the results of the April 2004 sampling event, it appears that the remediation
system is sufficiently working in cleaning the contamination PSC proposes that the
current quarterly groundwater-monitoring plan continue as is
1
r4
i
1
10
April 2004
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
Earthgrains Baking Companies,Inc
(Former Kilpatrick s Bakeries,Inc)
1717 South Center Street
Stockton,California
Prepared for SARA LEE BAKERY GRouP Prepared 6y Philip Services Corp
H\ENV\62400172\121382ECiTrojects\Stockton Center SlUnvestisatne and Quaneriy Repons\Quanerly Repon 04_2004 doc January 18 2005
t
l
