(GRI) on January 19,2001 and has the following comments.
The report details the installation of monitoring wells "U 7 and U-8" in the City of Tracy right of
ay at the intersection of 11th street and Central avenue.
wSoil and groundwater samples collected for
these wells on November 13,2000 indicate that the petroleum plume has been delineated in all
quadrants around the site.
PHS-EHD agrees with your conclusions that the site is adequately investigated and that no
remediation is required. In order to fully evaluate this site,a Request for Closure Report should be
submitted following the reporting format detailed in the "Appendix B- Request for Closure,Tri-
Regional Guidelines".
PHS-EHD will evaluate the report and if approved, formally request concurrence from the Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQB). If the CVRWQCB concurs with the no
further action decision, you will advised to properly destroy the wells associated with this site or
submit a groundwater monitoring plan for the continued sampling and reporting of the groundwater
status.
Until directed otherwise byPHS-EID,continue to monitor and report on the groundwater
conditions (Quarterly Reports) at this site-
You may contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions.
Donna Heran,REDS,Director
i
Environmental Health Division
i
Michael J.Infu na r.,Senior REHS Margaret Lagorio,RE
LOP/ Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Unit IV Supervisor
MI/
C: CVRWQCB-Marty Hartzell,Sacramento.
C; Gettler-Ryan-David Herzog,3164 Gold Camp Dr.,#240,Rancho Cordova,95670.
c: Kimberly Ayers &Leesa Ward-Real Estate Office, 1034 Central.Ave,Tracy,95736.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
1
