Quarterly Summary. Report <br /> Third Quarter 1995 <br /> Former Unocal Service Station 0123 <br /> 1034 Central Avenue <br /> Tracy, California <br /> City/County ID#: Unknown <br /> County: San Joaquin <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site was reportedly an operating Unocal service station from approximately 1920 through <br /> 1962. Two underground storage tank (UST) complex have existed at the site.' A cluster of <br /> three tanks located at the northern property boundary �djacent to I 1 th'Street, were identified as <br /> "abandoned" on a general arrangement plan, and a second cluster of three tanks to the south were <br /> identified as active USTs.'-The property was purchased by Bank of America and the'service " 4 _ <br /> station was demolished in 1962. The site is currently n asphalt-paved parking lot owned by and <br /> servicing the Wells Fargo Bank located immediately to the south. A limited subsurface <br /> investigation was conducted by LMS and is detailed in a March 29, 1994, Phase I Report, <br /> Addendum 1. As requested by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br /> Health Division, Unocal submitted a work plan dated, October 13, 1994, to perform a soil and <br /> groundwater investigation. Nine soil borings and three groundwater monitoring wells were <br /> installed in May 1995. Exploratory test pitting was performed on the property in June and <br /> encountered two abandoned UST's at the northern property boundary. <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES ` <br /> A report documenting the site assessment activities w prepared. Thrd quarter groundwater <br /> monitoring was performed in September 1995. <br /> NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> A report documenting the soil and groundwater invest ation will be submitted. A corrective <br /> action workplan addressing the proper abandonment o the two UST's will be prepared. Fourth <br /> quarter groundwater,monitoring will be performed.._ <br /> CHARACTERIZATION/REMEDIAL STATUS <br /> Soil contamination-delineated? Yes. <br /> Dissolved groundwater delineated?
