As <br /> discussed, Wells Fargo Bank(WFB) and UNOCAL have been listed as responsible parties <br /> to address potential environmental unpacts considered to have been caused by UNOCAIA <br /> former underground storage taulm (USTs), the findings of which were discovered during <br /> WF$'s clue diligence of the property. <br /> The property ins scheduled to be sold in the near future, and WFB believes UNOCAL should <br /> be listed as primary responsible party according to the precedents tablished in the Mate <br /> Water Resource Control Beard (SWRCB), Order No. WQ 92-131. Currently, UNOCAL <br /> has been reluctant to take responsibility or initiative to prepare the work plan or any future <br /> work on the pfoperty as a result of the operation-of their former USTs. While WFB <br /> continues to negotiate with UNOCAL,WPB intends to take a proactive bole in meeting the <br /> work plan submittal schedule which we understand is on or about October 7, 1994. <br /> Consequently, WFB intends to solicit bids from qualified etMrormentat consultants for <br /> preparation of the work pian as a contingency in the event UNOCAL does not comply with <br /> your July 7-1994 request (as well as future requests). <br /> "herefore, this letter is a request for a meeting to discuss specifically two issues of <br /> importance to WF13: <br /> 1) to order UNOCAL to be the primary responsible party pursuant to SWRCB <br /> order(&); and <br /> 2) to discuss the supe of the work plan. <br /> Z'Z_ — l� <br /> z <br />
