STATE OF CALIFORNIA 0 GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN,Governor
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION -.
3443 ROUTIER ROAD
SACRAMENTO,CA 95827-3098 RECEIVED
OCT 2 4 1989
20 October 1989 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERM11T/SERVICES
Ms. Diane Hinson
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
Environmental Health Division
San Joaquin County Department of Public Health Services l ?
P.O. Box 2009 '
Stockton CA 95201
TEXACO SERVICE STATION, 440 WEST CHARTER WAY, STOCKTON, PROPOSED ADDITIONAL
SITE INVESTIGATION
We have reviewed the 15 August 1989 proposal for additional investigation,
prepared by Groundwater Technology, Inc. , and other available information for
this site. The proposed work includes the installation and sampling of seven
additional ground water monitoring wells to better evaluate the lateral extent
of ground water contamination.
The proposed installation procedures and well locations appear adequate for
this phase of the investigation. Therefore, we recommend that the proposed
work plan be approved. We understand that the operator has received tentative
approval for installation of several off-site wells. However, there may be
delays in acquiring access for installation of some of the proposed off-site
wells. If significant delays occur, the operator should proceed with
installation of the wells for which access can be approved.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5731 .
THOMAS D. PELTIER
Engineering Geologist
TDP/tdp
