At least one soil sample from each
monitoring well boring will be submitted for laboratory analysis. A URS geologist will log the soils
according to the Unified Soil Classification System. Total depth for the proposed monitoring well
borings will be approximately 30-feet bgs (10 feet into groundwater). Proposed monitoring well
locations are shown on Sheet 1.
SVEIAS Well Completions
At the request of the property owner, Mr. Bill Halverson, remediation wells will be completed below
grade and to match the surrounding landscape. Each well will be completed at least 1-foot below grade,
with a steel plate placed over the top, and then covered with material to match the surrounding ground
surface. The wells will be inaccessible from the surface.
Following remediation activities, URS will abandon the remediation wells by pressure grouting through
the remediation system piping. Each remediation well will have dedicated piping running from the well
location to the treatment system compound. The wells can be individually abandoned by accessing the
piping at the compound and pressure grouting through the dedicated piping. The wells will be
pressurized to 50 pounds per square inch (PSI) to insure that the grout enters the filter pack around each
well screen.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this workplan, please call Mr. Vernon Elarth at (916)
679-2299.
Sincerely, EtED GEOO
URS Corporation Americas ON PAU(
No. 7 0
Vernon Elarth, RG * Exp.
