Chevron Products
CA
certified laboratory for analysis of TPHg using modified EPA Method 8015, and
BTEX, and MtBE by EPA Method 8260. -
Monitoring Well Development and Sampling. Following well installation, the
monitoring wells will be developed by rigorously surging the wells over the
length of the screen interval and by purging approximately 10 casing volumes of
water. After well development, groundwater samples will be collected and
submitted under standard chain -of -custody procedures to a California State -
certified laboratory. The groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg using
modified EPA Method 8015, BTEX, and MtBE using EPA Method 8260.
Well Surveying and Groundwater Gradient Interpretation. A state -licensed
surveyor will survey the newly installed wells. Depth to groundwater
measurements will be collected during sampling activities and utilized for
interpretation of groundwater flow and gradient beneath the site.
• Slug Tests. Slug tests will be performed in each of the five newly installed
monitoring wells to derive values for transmissivity (T) and hydraulic
conductivity (K).
• Report. A report will be prepared after completion of necessary fieldwork. The
report will include soil boring logs, soil and groundwater analytical results,
chain -of -custody record, and conclusions.
Proposed field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment B.
SCHEDULE
SECOR is prepared to initiate fieldwork within 4 weeks following approval of this work
plan and issuance of permits by San Joaquin County. A report documenting the
findings of the well installation can be prepared in approximately 8 to 10 weeks after the
completion of the fieldwork and receipt of all analytical data.
If there are any questions regarding the contents of this work plan, please call Scott
Gable at (916) 861-0400 extension 231 or Bob Cochran of Chevron at (925)-842-9655.
Sincerely,
SECOR International, Incorporated
/0.
Bob W.
