adjustment of proposed wellfocations. There are three prod wells that may be in the
sidewalk of the Lincoln Street right-of-way
to the
City of Stockton Public Works Department) . Tyypdicallylacnumber of public cutilities are
installed in the sidewalk for ease of maintenance. As such, to avoid potentially drilling
into the public utilities, we are looking at possibly offsetting the currently proposed
locations of these three wells (MW-7S, -8I, and 11D) to few feet west, out of the
sidewalk.
Moving the well locations out of the public right-of-way will also facilitate the early
completion of well installation since we will not need to go through a lengthy permitting
process in securing the encroachment permit from the Public Works Department. We would
like to seek concurrence from RWQCB of this proposed approach if deemed acceptable.
We appreciate your response to the above two issues brought forward to your attention. We
would like to move forward with our field preparation activities early this week based on
your concurrence, or otherwise, on the two subject issues described herein, as we are
looking at beginning the field work by the first week of March (i.e. , next month) .
If a conference call today is still in the plan to discuss the matters in further detail,
please let us know the best time to contact you.
Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.
Charlie So, P.E.
Sr. Project Engineer
Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure
4005 Port Chicago Highway
Concord, CA 94520
925.288.2345 direct
925.288.0888 fax
www.shawgrp.com
-----Original Message-----
From: Jim Barton (mailto:jbarton@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Monday, February 11, 2008 6:47 AM
To: So, Charlie
Cc: Metzinger, Charles; Teo, Jim; James Munch
Subject: Re: The Transmission Shop Site at 515 W. These recommendations will result in minor changes
in some procedures described in the Work Plan previously submitted. The minor changes are
considered necessary due to the site conditions, and if implemented, should help
facilitate the installation of the monitoring wells at the site. We would like to discuss
with you, and seek your concurrence on, the recommendations in advance over a
teleconference call on Monday (2/11) . If this works for you, please let us know of the
time on Monday that is convenience for you and a phone number that you can be reached. If
Monday is not possible, please let us know of another day and time at your earliest
convenience.
3
