Charter Way
Stockton CA 95206
On May 31, 2005 a meeting was held at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department (SJC/EHD) office to discuss the above referenced contaminated underground storage
tank (UST)site. Present at the meeting were Don & Sylvia Rodgers, responsible party(RP), Dan
Wynne of Shaw Environmental, consultant for the responsible party, and Margaret Lagorio, Nuel
Henderson and Lori Duncan of SJC/EHD.
The meeting was held to discuss the status of the investigation and remediation of the site. A work
plan to continue the investigation was to be submitted to SJC/EHD by July 23, 2004, but to date no
work plan has been received by this agency. SJC/EHD requested the RP commit to a deadline for
submittal of the work plan. The RP and Shaw stated the work plan would be submitted by June 30,
2005. SJC/EHD requested that proposed work be presented within the context of a site conceptual
model. Shaw suggested that in addition to continuing investigation of the lateral and vertical extent
of the plume, the work plan would also contain a proposal to evaluate alternatives for cleanup of
the groundwater contamination.
Other issues pertaining to the site were discussed, including site history, subsurface geology,
potential remedial alternatives and the status of the other contaminated UST sites in the area.
SJC/EHD has agreed that review of the work plan would be complete by the end of July 2005. It
was discussed that implementation of the work would begin within one month of SJC/EHD's
approval of the work plan.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at(209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margaret agorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: James Barton , CVRWQCB
Dan Wynne, Shaw Environmental
