C A M B R I A NOV 2 2006
ENVIRONMENT HtALTH
PERMITSERVICES,.
November 1,2006
Ms.Victoria McCartney l-I
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division
304 East Weber Street, Third Floor
Stockton,California 95202 Y Ld
Re: Site Investigation Work Plan
Shell-branded Service Station
620 West Charter Way
Stockton, California
SAP Code 136147
Incident No. 98996187
SJCEHD Site Code 1058124
Dear Ms. McCartney:
On behalf of Equilon Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell), Cambria
Environmental Technology, Inc. (Cambria) prepared this work plan as requested in San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department's (SJCEHD's)-August 9, 2006 letter regarding the
referenced site (Figures 1 and 2). The purpose of this investigation is to further assess the extent
of gasoline constituents in groundwater and soil in the vicinity of the subject site. The scope of
work presented in this document complies with SJCEHD and Regional Water Quality Control
Board guidelines.
SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is an active Shell-branded service station located at 620 West Charter Way, east of
Interstate 5 in a commercial area of Stockton, California (Figure 1). The site layout includes a
service station building, six dispenser islands, a fuel-underground storage tank (UST) complex,
and a car wash(Figure 2).
A summary of previous site investigation activities was presented in Cambria's April 6, 2006
Subsurface Investigation Report (SIR). Based on the results of recent site investigation
activities, Shell proposed additional site investigation activities to further assess the extent of
impacted soil and groundwater in the vicinity.of the site. The SJCEHD concurred that additional
Cambria
Environmental site investigation activities were warranted. Shell's proposed scope of work is presented below.
Technology,Inc.
270 Perkins Street
Sonoma,CA 95476
Tel(707)935-4850
Fax(707)935-6649
