Regional Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley Region has approved environmental case closure for the Shell-branded service station located at 620 West Charter Way, Stockton, California. Therefore, CRA intends todestroy the existing monitoring wells associated with the former case. Prior to well destruction activities, Shell needs to obtain an access agreement from you. Please sign and return a copy of this agreement to C.R.A. We will notify you of the well destruction schedule once we have received the signed agreement and necessary permits. The work to be performed is the destruction of monitoring wells MW-1 3-50, MW-13-77; MW-14-50, and MW-14-77 per SJCI HD and San Joaquin County well Standards. requirements. The locations of these wells are shown on the attached figure. . I11 2008 thesewells were installed at 550 West Charter Way under the former property owner's consent. After the wells are properly destroyed the property will be restored to its approximate former condition to match the surrounding area. A licensed contractor retained by Shell will perforin the above work. This work is'being l�erforrned on behalf of Shell to comply with the environmental requirements of the State of California. Shell agrees to indemnify you from any and all claims by third parties arising out of the work'performed by Shell under this agreement.
