Page 1 of 1
Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2012 2:55 PM
To: 'Delgado, Jeff@Waterboards'
Subject: Boring Logs and Soil Analytical Data for 620 Charter Way in Stockton
Attachments: Soil Analytical Data 620 Charter Way.pdf
Jeff,
have appended in this and additional emails the following information that you requested during our
telephone conversation today concerning Shell-branded Service Station located at 620 Charter Way in
Stockton, California:
• Soil analytical data for SB-1 through SB-8; tank pull; MW-1 through MW-11, MW-13 through MW-
15; and CPT-1 through CPT-5, CPT-14, CPT-15, CPT-17 and CPT-18;
• Boring logs for SBA through SB-8;
• Boring logs for MWA through MW-11, MW-13 through MW-17; and
• Boring logs for CPT-1 through CPT-23.
(Please note that there is no MW-12.)
Please let me know if you need site maps to locate the borings.
I misspoke during ourtelephone conversation today. What I should have said was that Conestoga-
Rovers&Associates(CRA)stated in Feasibility Study& Corrective Action Plan, Section 4.1, dated 12
October 2011, that the horizontal extent of impacted Zone B soil [45 to 50 feet below surface grade
(bsg)]was defined by CPT-14, MW-6, MW-3 and MW-4 but these borings did not go to a depth of 45 to
50 feet bsg. Also CPT-1 (to the east, not west), CPT-2 and CPT-21 all had high concentrations of
contaminants of concern in soil around 50 feet bsg. Also in Section 4.2.2, CRA stated that"The extent of
Zone B dissolved constituent impacted groundwater is defined by data from CPT-8 to the west, CPT-7
and CPT-18 to the southwest and south, CPT-6 to the southeast, well MW-14-50 to the west, and CPT-12
to the northwest." However, MW-14-50 is really to the east/southeast, and CPT-12 is really to the
northeast, not northwest. This means that there is no soil or groundwater data for Zone B to the
north/northwest.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
Email: vmccartney(c2'-)sicehd.com
I
i
i
10/16/2012
