Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney[EH]
Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 1:13 PM
To: 'Murphy, Mike'
Subject: RE: 620 W. Charter, Stockton (1 Q08 QMR)
Mike:
I have reviewed the analytical data for groundwater collected at the Shell station at 620 Charter Way for the first
quarter 2008 sampling event. I want to talk to the County inspector who oversees the UST system at the Shell
station but he is in the field today doing inspections and I will not be able to discuss this site with him until
tomorrow. You may want to compare the free product found in groundwater samples collected from MW-16-50
with the gasoline stored in the USTs to see if there is a difference. Does the gasoline detected in MW-16-50
appear to be aged gasoline and does it match the fuel fingerprint for gasoline collected in groundwater samples
from nearby monitoring wells? These are questions that need to be answered before a determination can be
made as to whether a new release has occurred at the Shell station.
Vicki McCartney,Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton,California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: cmccartneyNcdd_com
From: Murphy, Mike [mailto:mrmurphy@craworld.com]
Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 1:53 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Subject: FW: 620 W. Charter, Stockton (1Q08 QMR)
Vicki—per our telephone conversation, here is the first quarter data we received from Blaine Tech. This
data has not been QC'd by CRA yet. The lab did confirm the THPg detection in well MW-16-50. Blaine
identified 0.03 feet separate phase hydrocarbons in the well with an interface probe today. Please let me
know your comments after you have reviewed the data.
Regards,
Mike Murphy
Conestoga-Rovers &Associates(CRA)
19449 Riverside Drive, Suite 230
Sonoma, CA 95476
P.
