Wu
-ar Safi .
:r ! 1,
Ms.Diane Hinson, R.E.A.S.
*larch L 1991
Pn'c'.'.
Ground @Vater Ant=lvticuf Results
Each ground water sample was submitted for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and
total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) is gasoline using US Environmental Protection Agency and
California Department of Health Services approved methods. The analytical laboratory results of ground
water samples collected on January 31, 1991 are summarized in Table 2. Previous results are also
provided in Table 2 for comparison. copies or the certified laboratory reports for January 1991 are
included in Enclosure B.
Analytical laboratory results indicate an increase in the concentration of petroleum constituents frant
October 1990 to January 1991. The concentrations in monitoring wells Mod-1 and MR'-5 increased
gignificanfly more than other wells. These wells are locabd downgradient and therefore, the
concentration of dissolved petroleum constituents is expected to increase more in these veils as dissolved
constituents migrate with the ground water.
EW—Plos—e M iuct Recnfflela
A Westinghouse pneumatically-operated product-only pump was operated in monitoring well MW-7
during the period. Product level in the well has dropped from 1.05 feet to OAG feet. This pump will
[ remain in monitoring well MW-7 during the next period. i
Delta will collect groundwater samples the last v:..ek of April 1991 and submit a written report to the
San Joaquin County,Department of Environmental}Icalth,the week beg!nniag June 17, 1991.
