(ACEI). In WPA -
June, AGEI proposes to install four single-completion clustered monitoring wells
rather than the two previously proposed dual-completed monitoring wells; the single
completion well on the subject site remained as originally proposed. The proposed
screen intervals of the clustered wells are as originally proposed except for MW-10B,
which was changed from 80 to 85 feet below surface grade (bsg) to 81 to 91 feet
bsg. The EHD approves the proposed scope of work as necessary and adequate
[H&S 25296.10 (c)(3)].
The EHD has also received and reviewed Vapor Intrusion Investigation Work Plan
(VIWP), dated 15 May 2008, also prepared by AGEI. In VIWP, AGEI proposes to
advance six borings to 5 feet below surface grade utilizing direct push technology to
collect soil gas samples in Tedlar bags for chemical analysis. The samples will be
analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA
Method T03; benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) and
isopropyl alcohol by EPA Method T015; and fuel oxygenates and lead scavengers
also by EPA Method T015.
The EHD approves the scope of work as necessary and adequate providing that an
additional soil gas sample be collected near CPT2 (or relocate the westernmost
sampling point to the CPT2 area), and that samples collected in Tedlar bags be
analyzed within the appropriate hold time.
Submit the appropriate well permit applications and fees to the EHD by 01 August
2008, conduct the approved scopes of work within 60 days of permit approval, and
WP Approval and Directive Letter 0608
