Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA 95206 <br /> Re: K & S Grocery, 701 Charter Way, Stockton, CA Site Code: 2512 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br /> observed the removal of two underground gas tanks at the above referenced site on <br /> February 13, 1998. Soil sampling beneath piping and dispensers was observed on <br /> February 20, 1998. Contaminated soils were observed on both occassions and <br /> concentrations of contaminants were also detected in soil samples collected during site <br /> assessment work done in 1997. At this time PHS/EHD requires a workplan for <br /> investigation of the vertical and lateral extent of contamination at this site be submitted <br /> by June 7, 1998. <br /> A list of contaminated site investigation consulting companies who have done work in <br /> this county is available upon request.
