Advanced
Inc .GeoEnvironmental, - '
_.0-
15 February 2001
AGE-NC Project No. 97-0326
Ms. Margaret Lagorio, Supervisor
San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Subject: Site Assessment Work Plan Addendum
K & S Gas & Grocery
701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California
Dear Ms. Lagorio:
As per our conversation this morning, AGE believes that an additional CPT boring should be
advanced on the above-referenced site to complete the vertical assessment of hydrocarbon-impacted
ground water related to the UST system on the site. Ground water samples from 80 plus feet
collected from two CPT borings on the site had noticeable hydrocarbon odor, ground water samples
from 90 plus feet had suspected hydrocarbon odor. Rather than wait for laboratory analysis to
confirm the presence of hydrocarbons in the samples, AGE believes it would be prudent to utilize
the CPT unit still on-site to procure additional lithology and ground water samples in the area of
concern to a depth of 130 feet bsg and save future mobilization, permitting, reporting and other costs.
Ground water samples collected from the additional boring will be analyzed as described in the
approved work plan. AGE seeks your approval of this additional CPT work.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at(209)467-1006.
Sincerely, ED Geo
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
