The scope of work includes acquiring additional geotechnical
information(continuous lithologic record from CPT data for definition of hydrologic units),and soil
and grab ground water samples for analysis by advancing six deep soil borings(two at each of three
proposed locations) and the installation of up to sever) additional ground water monitoring wells
based on the results of the CPT data.
BACKGROUND
Three ground water monitoring wells are currently located at the site. Two soil probe borings were
advanced at the site on 10 April 2000, one near MW3 and the other through the conductor casing
located west of the current underground storage tank (UST) location. The borings were advanced
to a depth of 70 feet at each location; grab ground water samples collected at the base of the borings
contained TPH-g concentrations as high as 550 micrograms per liter(µg/1).
Ground water occurred at a depth of approximately 31 feet below surface grade (bsg) during the
September 2000 quarterly monitoring event. Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline
(TPH-g)was detected at concentrations as high as 160,000 µg/1 in water samples collected from the
wells.
The extent of impacted soil and ground water have not been defined at the site, Background
information and site history is summarized in the AGE-prepared Monitoring Well,Installation Report
dated 02 June 1999,
4005 North Wilson Way_ Stockton,California 952()5
Telephone(209)467-1W6 FAX (209) 467-11 18
