Inc.
(AGE) has prepared this Work Plan Addendum for additional assessment of hydrocarbon-impacted
soil and ground water at and near 701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California. The scope of work
includes the advancement of two soil probe borings and the installation of up to sit additional
ground water monitoring wells.
BACKGROUND
Three around water monitoring wells are currently located at the site. Ground water occurred at a
depth of approximately 30 to 31 feet during the June 1999 quarterly monitoring. Total petroleum
hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline(TPI -g)was detected at concentrations as high as 330.000 parts
per billion in water samples collected from the wells. The extent of impacted soil and ground water
have not been defined at the site. Background information and site history is summarized in the
.Monitoring Well Installation Report, dated 02 June 1999 and prepared by AGE.
SCOPE OF WORK
Initially, two soil probe borings (probinas) will be advanced at the site. One probing will be
advanced near MW3 and the second probing will be advanced through the conductor casing located
west of the current underground storage tank, (UST) location. Soil samples will be collected at 5-foot
intervals beginning at a depth of 45 feet in the probing near MW3 and beginning at a depth of 20 feet
in the probing advanced through the conductor casing. The probings will be advanced until two
consecutive samples indicate the non-detection of hydrocarbons. based upon field readings.
Procedures for sampling with the Geoprobe were described in the UST Pre-upgrade Assessment
Work Plan, dated 30 Apri1 1999 and prepared by AGE.
A grab water sample will be collected from each probing at a depth of approximately 60 feet bso.
using a Geoprobe water sampling assembly. by advancing the ground water sampling assembly to
4005 North Wilson Way, Stockton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1118
