' Site Background Information K & S Gas & Grocery • Page of beneath the site Results of the February 2001 Investigation were reported in Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) Report - February 2001, dated 19 June 2001, results of the November 2001 investigation were 1 reported in Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT) Report - November 2001, dated 25 March 2002 In March 2004,three pilot borings for monitoring wells MW-7 through MW-9 were advanced using a CME-75HT drill rig (MW-7 and MW-9) and a CME-95 drill rig (MW-8), both equipped with 8 25-Inch diameter hollow-stem augers Boring MW7 was completed as a single-level monitoring well using two-inch diameter PVC casing with 0 020-inch slotted screen installed from 28 feet to 48 feet bsg, with blank casing extending to the surface The filter pack (No 3 Lonestar sand) was installed from approximately 26 feet to 48 feet bsg Bonngs MW-8 and MW-9 were completed as ' multi-level monitoring wells utilizing 1 7-mch diameter continuous multi-channel tubing(CMT)or multi-level polyethylene well casing The inside of the multi-level well casing consisted of seven %2-inch diameter Teflon chambers, four of the chambers were utilized as monitoring wells, screened at depth intervals between 28 feet and 48 feet bsg,between 80 feet and 85 feet bsg,between 109 feet and 119 feet bsg (109 feet and 123 feet bsg in well MW-8), and between 140 feet and 150 feet bsg, respectively RECEPTOR SURVEY A receptor survey was performed to identify city, domestic, irrigation, or ground water monitoring wells located within a 2,000-foot radius of the site The following is a summary of the findings of ' the survey • No CSMUD water wells were located within the 2,000-foot radius, the nearest well site is Water Plant No 2 (WP-2), located on Diamond Street more than a mile away • According to Mr Eric Mar of the California Water Service,there are no active wells within the 2,000-foot radius specified, their nearest well is inactive Well 50-01, located 1,560 feet northeast of the site • A representative of AGE performed a file review at the Department of Water Resources (DWR) One reported private well is located at 1642 South California Street, the resident was not at home during the area reconnaissance survey, and the status of the well is unknown Based on historic ground water flow directions,the well is located cross-gradient to the site • The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)was contacted to identify and locate potential receptors within a 2,000-foot radius of the site The EHD provided • information regarding monitoring wells adjacent to the site Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
