Biweekly
ij monitoring/measurements are recommended. Compare extraction results with the
SVES/AS modification start up projections for extraction. Investigate and discuss
any inconsistencies,
Note : SVES influent should be analyzed for Oxygenates.
6) The Addendum does not specify which Conde No. pump is intended for installation
nor at what rate it is proposed to operate. Discuss this and show a schematic for how
the pump will connect with all V Ws, ASW, and the SVES machine.
7) Provide a map showing an aerial view of all VWs, MWs, ASW(existing and
proposed) and all UST locations (USTs previously removed and currently on site).
Also provide a cross-section map view of all these components.
LATERAL AND VERTICAL INVESTIGATION OF CONTAMINATION
1 ) Provide information showing the location of the deep boring below 50 feet as
requested in PHS/EHD letter dated June 18 , 1998. Provide a statement that a soil
sample will be collected every five feet and at every lithological change (as well as a
ground water grab sample collected) in every boring and that all samples will be
analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons using EPA method 8015m, Benzene,
Toluene, Xylene, Ethylbenzene using EPA method 8020 and Oxygenates using EPA
method 8260. Vertical definition of contamination will require two consecutive five
foot soil sample results showing non detectable contaminant concentrations.
2) Discuss the plan for Oxygen Releasing Compounds (ORC) at this site. Will ORC
continue to be used in remediation efforts? If so, explain the plan for this. If not,
discuss disposition of ORC currently in place.
QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORTS
1 ) Provide routine SVES/AS maintenance and monitoring information as referenced in
SVES/AS MMP.
i
G
