San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> RE: Beneto, Inc., 749 E. Charter Way, Stockton, CA <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> Class II neat cement, which will be circulated through the annulus to the surface and allowed to <br /> cure for a period of at least 24 hours, pursuant to Bulletin 74-90, prior to continuing work on the <br /> well. <br /> The well screen and casing (to a total depth of 95 feet bgs) will consist of 2-inch diameter, <br /> schedule 40 PVC . Centralizers will be placed at depths of 75 feet bgs, 50 feet bgs, and 25 feet <br /> bgs to center the well casing within the conductor casing. The pre-packed filter pack/well screen <br /> (lowermost 10 feet of well) will consist of #3 sand contained within a 2 %/ inch diameter wire- <br /> mesh screen. The well screen will have 0.020-inch wide slots. Additional #3 sand will be added <br /> through a tremie to fill the gap between the pre-packed screen and the borehole wall. The filter <br /> pack will be placed to extend approximately 2 feet above the screened interval. A transition seal <br /> consisting of coated bentonite pellets will be placed using a tremie in the interval of 81 -83 feet <br /> bgs. After the bentonite pellets are allowed to expand for a minimum of 30 minutes, the <br /> remaining annulus will be sealed with neat cement grout, which will be emplaced with a tremie <br /> system. <br /> MW18C <br /> Centralizers will be used at depths of 90 feet bgs, 60 feet bgs, and 30 feet bgs to center the <br /> conductor casing in well MW18C. The conductor casing will be set to a total depth of <br /> approximately 115 feet bgs. The conductor casing will be grouted through the shoe with Class H <br /> neat cement, which will be circulated through the annulus to the surface and allowed to cure for a <br /> period of at least 24 hours, pursuant to Bulletin 74-90, prior to continuing work on the well. <br /> The well screen and casing (to a total depth of 140 feet bgs) will consist of 2-inch diameter, <br /> schedule 40 PVC. Centralizers will be placed at depths of 110 feet bgs, 70 feet bgs, and 30 feet <br /> bgs to center the well casing within the conductor casing. The pre-packed filter pack/well screen <br /> (lowermost 10 feet of well) will consist of #3 sand contained within a 2 %-inch diameter wire- <br /> mesh screen. The well screen will have 0.020-inch wide slots. Additional #3 sand will be added <br /> through a tremie to fill the gap between the pre-packed screen and the borehole wall. The filter <br /> pack will be placed to extend approximately 2 feet above the screened interval.
